Welcome to the FLAIR Lab (Frontier Language AI Research Lab). We develop language AI agents and teach them to understand human concepts, speak human languages, and perform logical reasoning. We are actively looking for self-motivated students!

Our recent research directions include:

  • Knowledge Extraction and Generalization: Extracting structured information and human concepts from texts and generalizing to new domains.
  • Knowledge Transfer across Languages: Enhancing the cross-lingual understanding ability by leveraging auxiliary information or self-distillation techniques.
  • Robust Language Understanding: Developing models capable of capturing accurate semantic meaning under variations in text structure.
  • Multimodal Understanding and Alignment: Aligning human concepts across textual and visual space and improving cross-modal understanding.
